Apart from being a helpful guide for guests at your baby shower, a baby registry comes with a lot of perks. Stores offer free gift bags as well as amazing deals when you create a baby registry with them. I recommend preparing more than one registry and here’s why!

Why You Should Create a Baby Registry

1. Keep track of your baby’s shopping list & save money

Babies need a lot of stuff. And it can be overwhelming trying to keep track of everything on their shopping list. A registry is the perfect way to organize what you intend to buy for your baby. Having mobile access to your registry items also makes it easy to compare prices when you’re shopping in-store.

2. Gift guide for family and friends

Your family and friends are going to be excited when it comes time to buy gifts for your new baby. Having a baby registry can help your loved ones purchase things you need and want while avoiding repeat purchases.

3. Free baby stuff

Target, AmazonWalmartBabylist, and BuyBuyBaby all offer free gift bags when you create a registry on their website. I highly suggest you create a baby registry for each store!

What was in my Target Welcome Kit:

Dr. Brown’s 9 oz Wide Neck Bottle
– (2) Pacifiers from NUK and MAM
– Diapers and wipes from Babyganics & The Honest Co.
– Lansinoh nursing pads and storage bags
Baby Dove Wash
Aveeno Baby Lotion
Palmer’s Skin Therapy Oil sample
Aquaphor Baby Healing Ointment sample
– Over 10 coupons including BOGO Starbucks (Yum!)

To get your own, create a registry at Target.com and pick up your welcome kit at your local Target’s Guest Services counter. These are in high demand and run out quickly (I can understand why!), so I recommend calling your store beforehand to check its availability.

What was in my free Babylist #hellobabybox (May):

Babylist is awesome because you can create a baby registry that includes items from lesser known stores and boutiques as well as big box retailers like Amazon and Target. They send your #hellobabybox right to your door and there are no fees for shipping.

Out of all the gift bags I received, Babylist was definitely my favorite.

I received many of the same things in my BuyBuyBaby Goody Bag that was in my Target Welcome Kit. One thing I was really excited about was the ‘Baby on Board’ sign. It was bright yellow, which is the best color for these signs. It’s definitely going in my hospital bag!

4. Registry perks (coupons, discounts, effortless returns, and more!)

Whether you are hosting a baby shower or opting not to, creating a baby registry will greatly benefit both you and your baby.
